BASEBALL BOOKENDS

My husband loves baseball. So when he asked me to makeover his office space, I chose a baseball theme. I used baseball bats as the legs of his desk and made these little baseball bookends.
I wanted it to look like the baseballs weren't attached to anything, so I found this thin piece of metal in my husband's workshop, cut it in half and spray painted them black so they would blend in with the table.
Then I used Gorilla glue to attach the baseballs to the metal pieces. I tried hot glue at first but it wasn't strong enough. It was a pretty quick little project and my husband loved it!

  1. So clever and cute! I love this idea. I have a baseball on display on my son's shelf and it is always rolling around so that you can't see the writing on it. This is a perfect hidden way to stop that. Thanks for sharing,
    Kate
