kitchen storage cabinet makeover

Recently I finished a kitchen makeover. I also did a dining room makeover and am planning on finishing my living room makeover today. We have lived here for almost 6 years, so it's about time to makeover everything. I'm surprised I could wait this long. I have this little storage cabinet in my kitchen and decided to paint it white to match my white cabinets. I just painted it white, then distressed it a little. I used a stencil on the top and distressed that with some sandpaper.
I also bought some little legs for it so that I could switch out the plastic wheels (which I never used, it always stayed stationary). I had to cut the legs so that the cabinet was the right height. There is a screw built in to the top of the legs so it was super easy to just screw them in.

  1. It looks great Sarah! I love the stencil on the top and the perfect amount of distressing that you did. What a great storage area, it's just so pretty!

  2. Adorable! I recently had my husband build a hutch for a vintage dresser/desk that I use for extra storage in my kitchen. We had to remove the runner on top to put the hutch on there, and I've been missing the color the runner brought in. Stenciling is the perfect solution! Thanks for sharing the idea.

  9. Your new cabinet looks very nice! The transition from dark-colored to light-colored furniture looks a lot better and complements the color of the wall a lot. If I’ll be using a cabinet like this, I guess I can store some kitchenware that also have light colors. Hehe! You did a great job with your renovations, Sarah! :)

  10. The offices are impeccable and well lit which was essential for me. I would like to head off to some grimy place where I couldn't see who was around the corner. They are proficient and agreeable and the best part - they offered crisply heated treats!! Now who doesn't cherish treats?
