  1. Great tutorial! And what an adorable dress. I need to pull out my Maxi dresses and see if I can actually pull them off. :)

  2. wait... did you get 2 yards of fabric or 4, and which way did you fold it?

  3. How pretty! I think I could pull of the sewing portion but I can't seem to look right in those long dresses. Maybe I am too short? I might give it a try anyhow. Thanks for the tutorial and great photos of each step.

  13. I love this. I do have a question. You said that you cut the neck down 7 inches. It looks like a V cut. How wide is the cut at the top part? In the pic it looks like maybe an inch. Thanks for sharing this. I am exciting about trying it out.

    1. It's just a slit straight down. It just opened up a little when I took the picture.

  14. How tall are you? Both of these tutorials talk about getting 2 yards, but that sounds like it wouldn't be down to the floor. Does the weight of the Jersey knit just bring it to the floor? I am 5'6". I really want to make one/two haha maybe three but don't want to buy too short of fabric, though I guess I could make it a short dress if I needed to.

    1. I'm 5'6" too and I trimmed off about 8 inches from the bottom.

    2. Oh wow. OK thank you.

  15. So... if I'm a giant (6'1"), I'm assuming I would need more than 2 yards - do you know how to decide, though??
Sorry, I'm a little sewing illiterate.

  22. That is darling! It looks great on you. I would love to try making one for myself, but I'm short and squatty and I'm not sure how it would look. 30 minutes isn't a huge investment of time, though, so I should just go for it, right? Maybe if I belt it higher...
