Do you know one of those people who always seems to dress cute for every occasion and you think... man I just wish they could shop for me! Well, my sister Betsy is that person for me. She always seems to find the cutest things and she finds them mostly at thrift/antique stores. Which I would love to do more of... but with three kids, it's hard to justify going to a store where I would possibly walk away empty handed because I couldn't find anything I liked.
So I need people like Betsy to do that for me. And lucky me she has opened an Etsy shop where she is selling some of her favorite finds. And because these are single items, you have to check out her shop regularly because there are always new things being listed. These are some of my favorites.

It is hard to pick a favorite. If I have to choose I would say kids cloths, but I also like to look at furniture and dishes.
ReplyDeleteVery cool etsy shop! Looks like we have similar taste. I typically look for chunky knit sweaters in thrift stores and also blouses/button ups that are in good condition. I am always on the lookout for a good leather bag as well!

Some interesting stuff in her shop! When I go to thrift stores, I get most excited to look for vintage mens dress shirts, the weird ones with pretty ladies and stuff on them. Used to "borrow" them from one of my Mom's boyfriends, and I really dig the ugly/cool look of them.

I'm a GFC follower of your blog (same name as email) and I am beyond in love with that jewelery box. I go thrift shopping a lot because I live right next to a town that is a very artsy neighborhood that has streets lined with antique/thrift shops and old book stores. Its amazing.
ReplyDeleteI collect antique cameras so whenever I see one at a thrift shop, I get another beautiful piece to add to my collection. I also adore vintage books. I found a first edition Jane Eyre at the antique book store and bought it for $2. There's such amazing history in thrift shops.
